Hudson Public Schools To Save Administrative Time With Aesop
EXTON, Pa. - May 23, 2011 - A new management system to schedule substitute teachers is coming to Hudson schools next fall, and administrators say it will eliminate stress and save them hours every day.
Superintendent Randy Bell said it's currently part of an administrator's job to manage the revolving-door schedule of sick teachers and their subs. Administrators take calls in the morning, evening and weekends and reach out to potential substitutes to fill holes every day.
"To use administrator time for that function just doesn't make much sense," district human resources Director Kate Minichiello said.
